Name: Vokar
Sex: Male
Origin: 1/2 Human, 1/2 Vulcan
Place of birth: Oslo, Earth
Age: 26
Height: 1.90 m.
Hair: Dark brown
Personal History:
As a boy Vokar was always playing with machines in some way. Even at a young age he kept taking things apart and putting them back together again; on some occasions making the machines work better than before. His technical skills were first recognized by his grandfather.

He has never been to Vulcan, but he learned the Vulcan secrets and trades like the mind-meld from his grandfather with whom he had a very strong bond.

Vokar was very depressed when his grandfather died in 2369. This almost caused him to drop out of the Academy.

Vokar has a great capability for languages. He speaks fluent English, Vulcan, Romulan, Bandi and Pakled.

He studied at Oslo University, majoring in quantum physics and warp propulsion technologies. Vokar graduated top of his class. The next two years he spent traveling on Earth and to some of the colonies. He also visited the alien worlds of the Bandi and the Pakled. This is where Vokar first came in contact with these strange languages he later studied.

Vokar applied to Starfleet Academy when he was 18 years old, studying engineering, ship design and warp field and quantum theories. Vokar also took language classes and studied these in his free time. He graduated from the academy at the age of 21 in 2370.

He entered his first commission at Utopia Planitia, where he was part of the repair crew for two years. The last three years he was part of the design team for the Prometheus-class starships.

Admiral T'Sul recruited Vokar for the Federation transwarp research thinktank. The thinktank is part of a Federation effort to create a stable and safe transwarp drive. A research team stationed at Utopia Planitia includes 40 of the best scientists from within the Federation working on transwarp technology. The thinktank contains another 80 scientists who regularly give ideas to the research team and work out some problems. The scientists who are part of the thinktank do this beside their normal duties. These scientists are therefore scattered across the Federation serving on starships, outposts and research stations.

The scientists are unaware of the identities of the other members. They only report to their direct contacts within the research team. Vokar works on this project with all his heart, since this is his true calling - to go faster than no man (or Vulcan) has gone before.

Vokar requested the commission on board the U.S.S. Astoria engineering department and was later accepted as the Chief Engineer.

Even though Vokar is half-human, half-Vulcan, he looks like a Vulcan, but he is more emotional than the average Vulcan.
