Personal History:
Dellan was raised on Betazed by his mother, Arianna. His father, Commander Lucas Kye, was killed at Wolf 359 by the Borg. Has one older brother, Tave, and a younger sister, Celia. Tave was born with only telepathy and Celia only empathy for some unknown reason. Dellan, born with both telepathy and empathy, has amazing control over his telepathic and empathic abilities, rivaling even the most highly trained Betazoid.

Kye went to the University of Betazed at the age of 16 for their psychology classes. Graduated at the age of 20 4th in class.

Kye loves all types of candy but especially chocolate of any kind. An avid poker player, but rarely plays because no one plays with him because of his abilities. His older brother, Tave, attended the Academy two years earlier and somewhat tarnished all feelings towards Betazoids by using his abilities to cheat.

Kye had a serious relationship during his Academy years, but after graduating, they parted ways.

Somewhat shy, yet becomes more out going when he warms up to people. When the time comes to be serious, though, he is.

Likes all races except for the obvious Borg or Romulan or Vulcans due to the fact that he cannot easily read them.
Academy Training/Service Record:
Attended Starfleet Academy from the age of 18 to 22. He took correspondence courses from the University of Betazed for his final two years.

At the Academy, Kye majored in Law and Minored in Counseling, which he uses in his cases. He is rated as "Delta leel Counselor," meaning while he can't become a ship's full fledged counselor, he can take over if the need arises and he can assist the current counselor as needed.

Dellan Kye was stationed on Earth for a year for internship at the JAG Headquarters. Then, during a visit to Bajor, the current JAG officer was killed and so he replaced him as the acting JAG officer on board Deep Space Nine and was also made acting Counselor until the new one arrived. Has returned to Earth and is now a full fledged JAG officer and is waiting his first full assignment.
