Personal History:
Zantar Droin met Stacia Xanvad at Farpoint Station (FPS). After the Enterprise-D discovered the secrets of FPS, many cultures took over the planet and created a haven for diplomatic processes. Zantar was a diplomat from Romulus, born from a Betazoid and a Romulan, and Stacia was a diplomat from Betazed, born from a Betazoid and a Bandi.

They were married and had two children, Jaren and Xristha. After the Droins' retirement they moved to Earth. Jaren and Xristha entered Starfleet Academy. Jaren became an ambassador to Remus. Xristha became a medical doctor. Becoming a medical doctor was not in the best interest of her family, and her father and mother were very angry with her. They eventually overcame the emotions.

Xristha enjoyed her studies at Starfleet Academy. She tried to stay away from security training and engineering, focusing all her efforts on medicine. As a first-year cadet, she was forced to take basic engineering and basic defense training. After that the only engineering she received was on medical systems.

She met a human man, Steven Ray, and they had a brief fling. Steven was killed in a shuttle accident while performing typical systems checks. After that incident she never really fell in love with another man. She is not against the prospect, but it is not at the top of her list.

Xristha became a predominant physician in emergency medicine. She worked disasters on Earth while in the Academy. She saved the life of the Vice-Admiral and was given a promotion to the rank of lieutenant junior grade.

He was so impressed with her medical abilities he asked her to join him on the U.S.S. Devastator. At that time her mother was killed by a renegade coalition of  the Cardassian Government at a peace treaty signing on Earth. Her father then began to work with Starfleet Intelligence and drew her into that faction of the Federation. She then left the Devastator after being promoted to lieutenant.

Droin was asked to teach at the Academy. Her specialty was emergency medicine and biological weapons.

The news of her emergency medical abilities spread to the Ambassador and Chancellor of Farpoint Station. She was recruited to direct the medical facilities for the planet, her title being Ambassador and Director of Medicine of Farpoint Station.

Droin's work became very mundane, dealing with administrative matters. She longed to return to emergency medicine. She used many of her contacts and became the Chief Medical Officer of the U.S.S. Astoria.
